National Auctioneers Association legal definition of auction with reserve:
An auction in which the seller or his agent reserves the right to
accept or decline any and all bids.
A minimum acceptable price may or may not be
disclosed and the seller reserves the right to accept or decline any bid within
a specified time.
Property entered for auction qualify for the rebate program where entry
fees are rebated up to 101% based on the following formula.
The company will rebate or refund $500.00 of the pre-paid auction entry
fees for each $50,000.00 in contract price up to 101% of prepaid fees.
Example:
$350,000.00 Auction contract price divided by $50,000.00 = 7
$500.00 is rebated multiplied by 7 (seven)
$3,500.00 rebated or refunded to seller at closing or settlement as a special incentive.
